Industry Odisha Bureau, Aug 20: Samsung has announced a Galaxy Event for August 27, where the company is expected to expand its Galaxy S26 series. While Samsung is yet to reveal the name of the upcoming device, the description calls it as the “newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family.” This points strongly towards the Galaxy S26 FE.
Notably, the event will be streamed on Samsung’s website and YouTube at 5:30 PM IST. The company has not confirmed the phone’s specifications yet. Hence, most details currently available come from leaks and certification listings.
As per a listing by Google Play Console, the Galaxy S26 FE could be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. This will be paired with around 8 GB of RAM. The listing also points to a 1,080 x 2,340-pixel display.
Further, leaded promotional material offers more details. The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. It will also have a 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,900 mAh battery, and 45W wired charging. It could also carry an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water.
For photography, leaked specifications suggest a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 12 MP front camera is also expected.
The Galaxy S26 FE could possibly arrive in Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio colour options. The phone is expected to retain several specifications from the Galaxy S25 FE, which launched in India at Rs 59,999. The processor could be the biggest upgrade, with the S26 FE reportedly moving to the Exynos 2500 from the S25 FE’s Exynos 2400.
