Industry Odisha Bureau, Sep 28: The Delhi government has announced 50 % Work from Home for both Government and Private employees starting from November 1 till February 28.
The move was taken to curb the winter air pollution. Additionally, the parking charges have been doubled due to the increase in vehicles at authorised parking lots. in order to discourage the plying of private vehicles on the roads, Work from home for both government and private employees have been done.
The parking spaces owned by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) does not come under the ambit of the new announcement.
Delhi Government has also brought in staggered working hours to avoid traffic congestion. This will also be applicable from November 1, 2026 till February 28, 2027. Offices under Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will run from 8:30 am to 5 pm while NCT Delhi office will be from 10 am to 6:30 pm.
Further, restrictions on construction and demolition has been undertaken to avoid the limit dust pollution. Construction activities have been prohibited from November 1, 2026 till January 31, 2027.
Also a complete ban on construction and demolition activities have been implemented from December 10, 2026 to January 20, 2027.
