Industry Odisha Bureau, Aug 27: Apple has confirmed that its next major product event will take place on September 9 at 10am PT. The iPhone 18 Pro lineup and its first foldable iPhone are expected to be launched at the event.
The event has been titled “Surprise and shine,” and will be held at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. In India, the launch will begin at 10:30pm IST on September 9.
Apple is expected to introduce this iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and a foldable model, which could be branded as the iPhone Ultra. The standard iPhone 18 is reportedly being moved to a spring 2027 launch. Alongside which will be the iPhone 18e and a second generation iPhone Air.
The Pro models could feature a variable-aperture main camera, a smaller Dynamic Island, Apple’s C2 modem and the A20 Pro chip based on a 2nm process. New colour options and higher prices are also reportedly under consideration.
The foldable iPhone is expected to use a book-style design, with an outer display of around 5.3-5.5 inches and an inner screen measuring roughly 7.6-7.8 inches. Reports suggest it could feature Touch ID, two rear cameras and a titanium frame, with prices potentially starting near $1,999.
Apple could also announce the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5. These would be alongside software updates including iOS 27. The event comes days after John Ternus is expected to become Apple CEO on September 1. He will be replacing Tim Cook, who will now become Apple’s executive Chairman.
