Industry Odisha Bureau, Oct 18: Brajmohan Ram took oath as the Governor of Odisha at Lok Bhavan here. Orissa High Court Chief Justice Harish Tandon administered the oath of office. The swearing-in was a dignified ceremony marked by tradition and formality.
On arrival, the new Governor was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour. He took the salute from the police contingent during the parade.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the ceremony with his Council of Ministers. Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy was also present. Several Members of Parliament and distinguished guests witnessed the event.
Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Anu Garg, also attended the ceremony. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma was among those present. Secretary to the Governor Roopa Roshan Sahoo coordinated the proceedings.
After the ceremony, Governor Ram expressed his commitment to serving the state. He said he would work closely with the government for Odisha’s welfare and development.
