Industry Odisha Bureau, Aug 29: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi is to participate in the Dubai Investor’s meet scheduled from September 8-9, 2026.
The Odisha delegation is expected to showcase the state’s investment potential across a wide spectrum of sectors — from mining, metals and metal downstream industries to petrochemicals, textiles, food processing, ports and logistics, and renewable and green energy. Officials said the meet will highlight Odisha’s mineral wealth, industrial infrastructure, and its growing thrust on clean energy as key draws for UAE investors.
The Dubai engagement comes as part of the state government’s continuing efforts to attract foreign direct investment and forge international partnerships, following a series of similar investor meets held in other cities this year. State industries department officials, along with senior bureaucrats, are likely to accompany the Chief Minister for one-on-one meetings with prospective investors and business leaders.
The outreach is seen as part of Odisha’s broader strategy to leverage its coastal location and resource base to attract global capital across traditional and new-age industries.
