Bhubaneswar, March 17: Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to accelerated industrialisation, the Odisha Government on Tuesday approved 23 industrial investment proposals with a total investment of Rs 4,510.65 crore.
The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg has approved the proposals which are expected to generate 10,122 employment opportunities, significantly contributing to inclusive economic growth and reinforcing Odisha’s emergence as a leading industrial destination in eastern India, officials said.
The approvals reflect the State’s strategic focus on employment-led industrialisation, sectoral diversification, and regional equity, aligned with the broader national vision of Purvodaya.
By catalysing investments across both established and emerging sectors, Odisha continues to position itself as a key driver of industrial growth in the eastern region, they said.
The approved projects span a wide spectrum of sectors including wood-based industries, chemicals, apparel, technical textiles, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, manufacturing, aluminium downstream industries, electrical equipment, steel & metal downstream industries, food processing, agro processing, infrastructure, IT & ITES, and tourism & hospitality.
These projects will be implemented across eleven districts—Balasore, Bolangir, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh.
In the forest and wood-based sector, the government has approved the proposal of Century Plyboards (India) Limited to establish a manufacturing facility in Koraput with an investment of Rs 870.82 crore.
The state has also approved the proposal of Pidilite Industries Limited to set up a manufacturing unit in Balasore with an investment of Rs 61 crore, Paradeep Phosphates Limited’s Sulphuric Acid Plant in Jagatsinghpur with an investment of Rs 425 crore and Sonaselection India Limited’s garment manufacturing unit in Khordha of Rs 130 crore.
The SLWSCA has given necessary approval to Alphatex Private Limited to set up a technical textile unit in Khordha at an investment of Rs 180 crore.
In the pharmaceuticals and medical devices sector, Alteus Life Limited got the nod for its pharmaceutical unit in Cuttack (Rs 236.90 crore), Shreeji Imaging & Diagnostic Centre Private Limited to set up a specialised medical facility in Khordha (Rs 53.55 crore).
Similarly, Nipha Limited will establish an agricultural equipment manufacturing facility in Khordha with an investment of Rs 164 crore, Odisha Special Grade Alumina Ltd will set up a manufacturing unit in Koraput (Rs 88.16 crore), Navprakriti Green Energies Private Limited will establish a metal extraction facility in Balasore (Rs 105 crore, Abhisek Contech (India) Private Limited to set up a manufacturing unit in Khordha (Rs 55.03 crore), and Coastal Biotech Private Limited will set up an agro-processing unit in Kalahandi (Rs 350 crore).
In the steel and metal downstream sectors, key projects include Scan Steels Limited and Llenroc Ventures in Sundargarh, alongside a major expansion by Siddhiriddhi International Private Limited in Keonjhar with an investment of Rs 610 crore. Additionally, Sundar Steel Industries will establish a scrap processing unit in Cuttack, promoting resource efficiency and sustainable industrial practices at a cost of Rs 75.46 crore.
In the gemstones and jewellery sector, Nuvo Aeon Diamond and Jewellery Private Limited will expand its facility in Khordha with an investment of Rs 243.50 crore, strengthening Odisha’s footprint in high-value manufacturing.
In the infrastructure sector, Chalah Infratech Private Limited to develop a logistics park in Sambalpur with an investment of Rs 174.10 crore.
In the IT & ITES sector, Price water house Coopers Services LLP will establish a technology delivery centre in Khordha with an investment of Rs 60 crore, while in the tourism and hospitality sector, multiple projects across Koraput, Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, and Puri will enhance tourism infrastructure pumping an investment of Rs 317.63 crore.
