Bhubaneswar, March 25: Odisha Police have registered 2994 rape and 1304 murder cases during the year 2025, as per the White Paper tabled by the Home Department in State Assembly on Wednesday. In 2025, the Police have registered a total 2,29,881 cases of cognizable offences, which includes 1304 murder, 353 dacoity, 1802 robbery, 6282 burglary, 21,192 theft, 6,053 swindling, 1095 rioting, 2994 rape, 12,782 motor vehicle accident and 1,76,024 other miscellaneous cases, it said.
