Industry Odisha Bureau, Sept 21: In a latest update in Asian Games 2026, India clinched the silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event in Nagoya, Japan, on Monday morning. Shooters Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon have also qualified for the individual final.
Notably, Rudrankksh, Himanshu, and Parth Mane finished with a team total of 1890.1.
Meanwhile, China claimed the gold medal with a world record team total of 1899.0 points. Notably, they crossed their previous mark by 0.6 points.
While South Korea gave a tough competition to both India and China, they had to settle for bronze after scoring 1884.2 points in total.
India’s Rudrankksh Patil scored 631.8 points and secured third place in the individual qualification standings. Himanshu Dhillon found himself on the seventh spot after scoring 630.0 points.
Meanwhile, Parth Mane finished 10th by scoring 628.3 points in total. He missed out on securing a place in the individual standings.
The silver added to India’s medal tally in shooting, which had begun with another silver in the women’s 10m air rifle team.
