Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: In view of the prevailing wind warning for cyclone Arnab. Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department has issued advisories for all ULBs. The Urban Local Bodies across Odisha to remain on high alert and take necessary precautionary measures to safeguard public safety.
All ULB authorities have been instructed to closely monitor local weather conditions, maintain coordination with the respective District Administrations and strictly comply with the advisories and directions issued by the competent authorities.
The Department has emphasised the need for heightened vigilance, preparedness and prompt response to address any eventuality. ULBs have also been directed to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential municipal services and take timely measures to minimise risks to life and property.
Citizens are advised to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary movement during adverse weather conditions and follow the advisories issued by the local administration and other competent authorities.
The H&UD Department has urged all ULBs to maintain close coordination and remain vigilant and responsive to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens.
