Industry Odisha Bureau, Sept 24: Apple-owned Beats has launched the Beats 360, a new pair of over-ear headphones featuring interchangeable cushions, sweat and water resistance, and up to 32 hours of battery life.
In India, the Beats 360 are priced at Rs 42,900. They are available to order in Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky colour options. The headphones will go on sale in stores from September 24.
One of the key features is the interchangeable cushion system. The headphones come with Performance Knit cushions designed for workouts, while separate UltraPlush engineered leather cushions are available for everyday listening. Each cushion kit includes two ear cushions and a headband. This allows users to change both the appearance and feel of the headphones. Each additional kit costs Rs 6,900.
The Beats 360 are also the company’s first IP-certified headphones. They carry an IPX4 rating for protection against sweat and water splashes. The Performance Knit cushions are designed to manage moisture. Meanwhile, the ear cushions can be removed and cleaned separately. The headphones can also detect the cushion type and adjust their audio tuning accordingly.
For audio, the Beats 360 feature Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ and personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, along with Dolby Atmos support. Beats claims the new ANC system delivers up to 1.75 times more total noise cancellation than the Beats Studio Pro.
The headphones offer up to 32 hours of playback and up to one hour of listening from a five-minute USB-C charge. They also sup[port Bluetooth 5.3 and include Apple and Android specific features. A woven soft sided case is also included and a replaceable batter is also present.
