Industry Odisha Bureau, Sep 03: Odisha’s Works Minister Shri Prithviraj Harichandan has unveiled an aggressive strategy to accelerate state infrastructure development. The minister chaired a high-level departmental review at Lok Seva Bhawan today.
Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh presented proposals targeting swift project execution. He emphasized streamlining timelines and removing operational bottlenecks across initiatives.
Minister Harichandan declared funding poses no constraint to state infrastructure advancement. He instructed officials to adopt global best practices and artificial intelligence technologies.
The directive mandates enhanced sustainability, durability, and quality standards for all projects. Engineers must integrate AI-driven solutions into infrastructure planning and construction.
The review assessed major initiatives including national highways and traffic decongestion schemes. Bhubaneswar’s Jayadev Vihar-Nandankanan road project featured prominently in discussions.
Heritage preservation also gained focus, with Puri’s historic projects and Gundicha Temple renovations reviewed. Eco-friendly building construction standards were discussed extensively.

Senior officials including OBCC Managing Director Shri Anupam Saha attended the review. Key engineers and financial advisors participated in strategy formulation.
