Farmers and local communities stand to gain the most from this approach.
OIIPCRA Draws Wide Attention
The Odisha Integrated Irrigation Project for Climate Resilient Agriculture (OIIPCRA) drew wide attention. The project highlighted the restoration of minor irrigation systems. It also showcased climate smart farming practices. These include direct seeded rice, green manuring and crop diversification. Integrated rice fish farming was another key feature. Custom Hiring Centres, offering farmers access to machinery, were also presented.
