Industry Odisha Bureau, Oct 1: Hyundai Motor India recorded its highest ever monthly sales in September 2026. The company sold a total of 77,916 units across domestic and export markets. The automaker reported a 10.8% year-on-year increase in total sales during the month.
Domestic sales reached 57,166 units in September. With this, they registered a 10.9% growth compared with the same month last year. Exports also recorded strong growth, rising 10.4% year on year to 20,750 units.
The September sales figure surpassed Hyundai’s previous record for monthly total sales, which was achieved in July 2026. The company said the latest performance reflected growth across both its domestic and international markets.
Reports say that Hyundai expects demand to remain strong during the ongoing festive season. The automaker has also opened bookings for the Hyundai Bayon, which will enter the Indian market as an all new nameplace and further expand its product portfolio.
Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said the company achieved its highest ever total monthly sales in September, supported by growth in both domestic and export markets.
