Industry Odisha Bureau, Sep 01: Chinese automobile brand BYD has increased its sale by 17.8% Year on Year. The sales of the luxury automobile car has increased for the fourth time in a row.
BYD has sold 440,293 vehicles in August 2026 alone. The company is gearing up to expand its business in the global market and targeting Europe and Southeast Asia. Brazil has been the focus of the company and is giving good profits to the company.
Looking at the enthusiasm, BYD is planning to open local manufacturing units in Hungary. There will be a hybrid flex-fuel vehicle specifically for Brazil whose production is expected to begin by late 2026.
Recently, on August 28, BYD reported 30 percent increase in second-quarter of FY27. In eight months of 2026, BYD has produced more than 2.66 million vehicles. It is now targeting 5 million to 5.5 million vehicles for the year.
