Bhubaneswar, February 19: The annual matriculation examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began in Odisha today i.e. February 19. More than 5.61 lakh students are appearing for the exams across 3,082 centres present in the state. The examination started at 9 am in the morning and will continue till 11:30am. The gates of exam centres opened for students at 8:15 am while the OMAR sheets were distributed at 8:45 am. Bhubaneswar, February 18: Taking Suo Motu Cognizance, the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety (SCCoRS) has expressed concern over an accident that claimed five lives and injured six others at Haladiapadar on NH 16 in Ganjam district on January 31, 2026. Bhubaneswar, February 17: Odisha, which has more than 55 operational steel plants, holds the first position in the production of steel and stainless steel in the country, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati here today. Bhubaneswar, February 16: Two Central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Coal India Limited (CIL) and NLC India Limited (NLCIL) have collected a total revenue of Rs 13,960.50 crore from their coal mining operations in Odisha during past three financial years.
