Industry Odisha Bureau, Oct 24: Brain-monitoring wearable device Temple, associated with zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal is likely to be priced at Rs 85,000 in India. This is as per early-access invitations sent to selected users. Pre-orders for its first batch are scheduled to open on November 1, 2026. However, the company is yet to officially confirm the price or launch details.
The invitation indicates that early-access customers can place orders through the Temple app before sales open to the wider public. Notably, the first batch will have limited availability, with each device handmade to order. Buyers have been asked to sign in to the app using the email address that received the invitation.
Temple is designed to track changes in cerebral blood flow and signals associated with oxygenation and cognitive load. Its BrainFlow technology aims to provide insights into physiological responses linked to everyday activities. The device is worn on the side of the head, between the forehead and ear, and secured with single-use adhesive strips called Grips.
It also generates an Entropy score ranging from 1 to 250 to indicate physiological strain. Sleep, exercise, stress and caffeine may influence the reading. The company positions the wearable for wellness and research rather than medical diagnosis.
Temple will reportedly be available in six colours: True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue and Purple Funk. Goyal has worn the device on a podcast, while badminton player PV Sindhu has also been spotted using it during matches.
The final price, batch size and delivery schedule remain unconfirmed.
