Industry Odisha Bureau, Jul 6: California’s Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has reportedly unveiled the latest version of iOS 27 with a number of AI-powered features and improvements across its operating systems at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)-2026 that was reportedly held online from June 8-12 this year.
As per international media reports, “The latest version of iOS 27 includes a revamped Siri AI assistant, which is now available as a dedicated app, allowing users to access previous conversations and start new ones from a single interface. The Siri AI can perform multistep tasks, such as drafting messages, organizing photos, and creating reminders. It also gains camera-based intelligence, allowing it to identify objects and provide contextual information based on what is visible in the camera viewfinder.”
“The iOS 27 also brings enhancement to everyday apps and services, such as smarter bill splitting in Apple Wallet, new ways to share locations in Find My, and improved Apple Maps features. The update includes a refreshed design language, improved multitasking, productivity features, and systems-wide improvements for speed and efficiency,” added the international media reports.
It has further been reported that, “Apple’s commitment to continuous support extends to all iPhone models compatible with iOS 26, ensuring that users can benefit from the latest features and improvements.”
More pertinent to note here that, Apple is reportedly all set “to launch its ultra-modern and highly-sophisticated camera-equipped AirPods Pro 3 this year, while the tech giant’s AI Glasses are reportedly all set for a preview in September this year (2026) and a public release next year (2027).”
As per international media reports, “The built-in infrared cameras are not for taking photos and videos. They would allow the AirPods Pro 3 to connect with Apple’s AI assistant Siri. Designed exclusively to feed visual information about the wearer’s surroundings to Siri, the built-in infrared cameras can be dubbed as Siri’s eyes that see from the wearer’s ears. They allow the user to ask Siri contextual questions about objects, places or text around them.”
About Apple’s upcoming AI Glasses, the international media reportedly said that, “Launch of Apple Glasses would mark a significant step forward in wearble technology. By combining AI-driven intelligence, intuitive interaction methods and a lightweight, fashionable design, Apple Glasses are set to transform how users interact with their environment. Its features, such as high-resolution cameras, real-time language translation and contextual awareness, offer a glimpse into the future of seamless, intelligent interaction.”
