Bhubaneswar, March 17: Amid the ongoing Gulf crisis owing to the sharp escalation of war between the United States of America (USA), Israel and Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been forced to “temporarily close its airspace” following which DXB (Dubai International Airport) has been “shut” resulting in a chaotic situation so far flight operation from this very important and world’s busiest international destination is concerned.
Such an “exceptional precautionary measure” has reportedly been initiated by the UAE government in response to its military warnings against the imminent missile and drone threats from belligerent Iran.
Reports said that around 1,900 Iranian missiles and drones allegedly swooped down on UAE as Iran reportedly claims this neighbouring country to be a close ally of USA and Israel and also alleged that UAE is “aiding strikes on Iranian targets” which has reportedly been denied by the UAE authorities.
No specific announcement has officially been made by the UAE dispensation regarding the span of the airspace closure.
Pertinent to note that, this decision by UAE was reportedly undertaken a day after Iran “set ablaze a fuel tank at Dubai International Airport”.
Need to be mentioned that, enraged Iran has reportedly scaled up its barrage of missile and drone strikes across its adjoining Gulf countries those allegedly housing “USA-linked assets and civilian infrastructures like military airbases, energy facilities, sea ports and airports.”
