Industry Odisha Bureau, April 13: Government of India (GoI) has sternly repudiated China’s malevolent design to rename locations under the purview of Indian territory as well as sovereignty by allegedly assigning fictitious names.
Reacting sharply to such evil designs of China, GoI’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that such efforts of China hold no legitimacy and such claims made by China could not alter the ground reality of India’s sovereignty over those regions.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “Such attempts by China at introducing false claims and manufacturing baseless narratives cannot alter the undeniable reality that these places and territories were, are, and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India.”
Categorically rejecting the mischievous attempts by China, the MEA spokesperson further stated, “These actions by the Chinese side detract from ongoing efforts to stabilise and normalise India-China bilateral ties. China should refrain from actions that inject negativity into relations”.
India’s sharp reactions have been triggered amidst reports that China has set up a new county named Cenling on March 26 in its sensitive Xinjiang province, and the strategic region is situated adjacent to India’s Arunachal Pradesh, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the Afghanistan border.
Reports also said that Cenling is the third new county founded by China in its sensitive Xinjiang province within the duration of a year. As the region is densely inhabited by the Muslim Uyghurs, it is being claimed that China has been initiating such moves in a bid to counter the separatist activities being resorted to by the Muslim Uyghurs.
