Bhubaneswar, March 19: The first edition of the Odisha Mining and Construction Equipment Expo (OMCE) 2026 was inaugurated by Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Industries.
Thiagarajan, Chairman of CII Trade Fair Council and Anil Kumar Singh, chairman, CII Odisha State Council were also present during the inauguration of the expo here at Baramunda Ground.
Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the three-day expo brought together key stakeholders from across the industry to showcase innovation, foster partnerships, and drive sustainable growth.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries led an extensive exhibition walkthrough, interacting with exhibitors and witnessing live demonstrations of advanced machinery, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative solutions presented by leading global and Indian companies.
The Exhibition Inauguration was followed by an exclusive CEOs Roundtable, chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary along with CII office bearers.
In his address, Sharma underscored Odisha’s commitment in creating a conducive ecosystem for industrial development and investment. He appreciated the initiative by CII for organizing a focused B2B platform that brings together manufacturers, policymakers, and end-users under one roof.
The roundtable served as a high-level interaction for industry leaders to engage in a constructive dialogue on key challenges, policy support, technological adoption, and opportunities for strengthening the mining and construction equipment ecosystem in the region.
Discussions focused on enhancing ease of doing business, promoting sustainable mining practices, skill development, and boosting infrastructure growth.
OMCE 2026 featured participation from over 150 exhibitors and attracted more than 10,000 business visitors. The expo showcased a wide array of equipment’s, technologies, and solutions from leading players across the mining, construction, and infrastructure sector.
The co-located show Odisha Metal Expo 2026 further enriched the platform by bringing together stakeholders from the metals and allied industries.
The event will continue for the next two days with B2B and B2G meetings, technical sessions, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration, innovation, and investment in the sector.
OMCE-2026 is poised to become a premier regional platform, reinforcing Odisha’s position as a hub for industrial growth and enabling the next phase of development in mining and infrastructure through technology-driven and sustainable practices.
