Industry Odisha Bureau, Oct 14: Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the updated Glanza in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh and going up to Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted premium hatchback gets a new three-cylinder petrol engine, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and additional comfort features.
The 2026 Glanza is available in five variants: E, S, G, V and V(O). It continues to share its platform and powertrain with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and competes with the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.
The biggest mechanical change is the introduction of a 1.2 litre Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine. In petrol mode, it produces 83 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the CNG version delivers 70 bhp and 102 Nm. Both fuel options are offered with a five speed manual and a five speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Toyota claims improved fuel efficiency despite the lower output compared with the previous petrol engine.
Exterior updates include a larger grille, redesigned LED fog lamps, a repositioned Toyota badge and a shark-fin antenna. The hatchback also gets two new colour options: Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black.
On the inside, the Glanza gains ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger and an upgraded Clarion audio system. Other features include a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, a head-up display and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS, six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
