Industry Odisha Bureau, Sep 19: IMAGE, the Institute on Management of Agricultural Extension, held a one day workshop in Odisha. It focused on preparing modern training modules for departmental personnel across the state. The workshop aimed to strengthen capacity building and create a future ready training framework.
Senior officials of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment attended. Representatives from Madhusudan Academy, VOTI and ROTI also participated. Principals of all departmental training institutes joined the discussions.
Shri Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav, Commissioner cum Secretary, delivered the keynote address. His guidance highlighted how cohesive teamwork within IMAGE can advance skill development. He stressed team leadership and shared responsibility.
Directorate heads helped align institutional goals with frontline requirements. Shri Subham Saxena, Director of Agriculture and Food Production, took part in the discussions. Shri Kalunge Gorakh Waman, Director of Horticulture, also contributed. Shri Subrat Kumar Panda, Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Management, joined them. Other senior officers attended the programme.
Participants reviewed existing practices and refined induction curricula across their domains. They also mapped strategic learning roadmaps.
The workshop produced an actionable roadmap built on joint accountability and inter-departmental synergy. The updated modules will build technical competencies and adaptive skills among the agricultural workforce. These skills will help address emerging environmental, market and technological challenges.
