Industry Odisha Bureau, April 5: The ongoing tug of war between the defence forces of US-Israel and Iran along with the protracted blockage of world’s critical chokepoint called the Strait of Hormuz has now been evidently crystal clear that the fossil fuel is the arch apple of discord and the belligerent bone of contention.
The queer Venezuela episode arbitrarily enacted by the incumbent Trump regime of the United States of America (USA) that has not only stunned the whole world, but has also been a testimony to the global notion that the fossil fuel is fuelling fierce fight between allegedly adamant and arrogant nations, while the US and Israel are allegedly hell bent on thrusting hegemony on the nations that are repositories of the priceless fossil fuel or crude petroleum oil.
It would be wise to cite a significant study published in 2013 by the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
The noteworthy research has drawn an eye-opening conclusion: “25-50% of all international wars and conflicts have been connected to oil interests between 1973 and 2012”.
We are all well aware of the catastrophe of climate change and global warming that are dangling like a Sword of Damocles and the time bomb is ticking fast to explode all of a sudden.
Worried climate experts and environmentalists reportedly opine that the ongoing conflict between US-Israel versus Iran have further aggravated the global climate situation and adding further fuel to the fire in sequel to the protracted Russia-Ukraine war which is still simmering even after four years.
Such shocking and myopically manmade state of affairs are not only causing “energy imbalance” on our precious planet called Earth, but are also triggering “acute heat mortality rate” in the poor and underdeveloped countries who are unable to afford a climate budget to checkmate our already endangered planet.
It has been reported that the aforesaid two wars have already “added a huge amount of planet-heating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to the atmosphere.”
It has further been reported that the ongoing missile and drone attacks launched by the joint US and Israel defence forces on Iran as well as Iran’s tit-for-tat antics reportedly in the same intensity have already “injected over five million tonnes of GHG emissions”.
It’s, thus, high time to introspect and we should all take a solemn pledge to pooh-pooh the fossil fuel by preferring to tap the renewable energy resources, chiefly from the sun, as advocated by the peace-loving elite mass and intelligentsia.
Hence, the million dollar question lurks: Will the hegemonic nations or the so-called big bullies lock horns in future claiming the sun as their sole property for exclusively harnessing its solar power forcibly by depriving others to reap the benefits?
