Industry Odisha Bureau, April 1: As had been anticipated, the side-effects of the ongoing West Asia conflict, aggravated by the Hormuz standoff, and no let up to the unabated tug of war between belligerent armed US/Israel and Iran have started pricking and panging.
Thus, the prices of the premium petrol and diesel have gone up, while the prices of regular petrol and diesel used by the common consumers have fortunately been kept unchanged for the time being.
As per media reports, the price of XP100 petrol is now being charged Rs 160 per litre. Earlier, its rate had been Rs 149 per litre.
Similarly, Xtra Green diesel now reportedly costs Rs 92.99 per litre, while its earlier rate had been Rs 91.49.
On the other hand, commercial LPG prices have reportedly been hiked by Rs 195.50 per cylinder, while the rates of the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) were reportedly made more than double-crossing the Rs 2 lakh per kilolitre mark.
