Industry Odisha Bureau, Sep 10: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting with H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism, UAE, and Chairman, Council of International Investments.
The discussions focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between Odisha and the UAE, with particular emphasis on exploring new investment opportunities in Odisha. The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s favourable business environment, strong industrial ecosystem and investment potential across key sectors, and invited UAE-based investors to explore opportunities and invest in the State.
Focus on Aluminium Downstream Industry:
A roundtable was held to establish the aluminium ecosystem in Odisha. Representatives from the Aluminium downstream industry were present. The delegation visited Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) to strengthen cooperation in aluminium and downstream industries.
Further, discussions with Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) revolving around strengthening India-UAE business ties were held.
Bureau of Middle East Recycling Roundtable:
The roundtable focused on Recycling and the circular economy and sustainable industrial development was also iterated. Further an interactive session with Odisha’s business delegations, market linkages and deepening the Odisha-UAE economic ties was also moved.
