Industry Odisha Bureau, May 15: While the much-awaited FIFA World Cup-2026 is all set to kick off as per schedule from June 11 to July 19 being co-hosted by the United States of America (USA), Canada and Mexico, the first-ever half-time show on the fabulous final day will reportedly be graced by the mesmerizing performances on stage by global pop stars Shakira, Madonna and Korean sensation Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS).
Reports said that, the ace event scheduled on July 19 final match day at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (USA) aims at “raising funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund”, while “the proceeds would head towards a significant initiative for providing access to quality education and football for children worldwide.”
Notably, Shakira has already released her FIFA World Cup – 2026 official anthem “Dai Dai” with Nigerain artist Burn Boy, while this would be her second World Cup anthem, media reports claimed, adding, her “Waka Waka” was the first anthem that was performed by her at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup – 2010 edition held in South Africa.
While the coveted FIFA World Cup’s “opening ceremony is to be held on the US soil for the first time”, media reports further said that FIFA has already “unveiled the lineup (agenda) for the opulent opening ceremony”.
