Industry Odisha Bureau, May 9: Even though US President Donald Trump has been repeatedly claiming that bête noire Iran’s economy and defence capability have been abysmally hit hard and close to collapse due to the US-Israel joint air strikes since the wee hours of February 28, and further aggravated by the ongoing US Naval blockade imposed on major Iranian ports, a latest confidential report of CIA has reportedly startled the Trump regime.
As per a reputed US-based media report, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), has shared a “confidential assessment report revealing that Iran could sustain the ongoing blockade in Strait of Hormuz for three-four months before crippling under severe economic pressure.”
Notably, CIA is the principal foreign intelligence and counterintelligence agency of the USA Government that has been entrusted with the responsibility of gathering, analyzing and disseminating foreign intelligence to protect national security.
The leading American newspaper has further reported basing on the CIA’s confidential assessment that Iran, on the contrary, has been intriguingly rising like the mythical Phoenix by compensating both the infrastructural and defence facility losses swiftly.
Having reportedly elicited information from an anonymous top US official on the CIA’s confidential assessment, the popular American daily has reported that Iran “still has nearly 70 per cent of its pre-war missile stockpile and around 75 per cent of its mobile missile launchers.”
On the other hand, US President Trump’s very recent Oval Office statement has reportedly claimed that Iran’s “missile capabilities have mostly been decimated.”
